This combines some new and old territory - but I'm coming to the end of augmenting any of my word count with previous writings (eek!). That said, my goal today was 22,811 and I'm at 23,306.
I have some thought of continuing on tonight to do some newspapers and including Edda Lufada (which I've done already) for today/tomorrow/a day that gets too crazy to try to do this. It's like paying bills and trying to stay just a little ahead when times are good.
I giggle muchly over this set! The proprieties and the niceties of the society are highly amusing! I don't know why it didn't occur to me before, but I'm wondering if the the Church of the Reverended God is a fashionable church. I'm also wondering how many of its present devotees would stick around if something truly calamitous befell the Church. Meanwhile, the *ahem* fire-and-brimstone nature of the preaching seems to be highly popular. The Salvific Council certainly sounds suspect, but I'm not at all surprised. Actually, I should've been more surprised if they had out and out acclaimed what the Order had done! Only a religion that truly believed what it proposed for general belief would approve and maybe slightly admonish such followers and call the Order's actions well-meant but poorly guided or something. The Council's letter confirmed to me that the religion is mostly based on what another human has dictated for belief and conduct. So in many ways, I'm waiting for it to fall flat on its face.
